Mataram, LOMBOKim – Bermain layang-layang telah menjadi kegemaran bagi sebagian besar masyarakat. Namun permainan ini terkadang dapat membahayakan orang lain, lebih-lebih ketika tidak bijak dalam memainkannya. Terkait hal tersebut, Senin (15/6), Kabid Humas Polda NTB Kombes Pol. Artanto, S.I.K., M.Si. mengimbau kepada para orang tua agar melarang anak-anaknya, bermain layang-layang di jalan raya.
“Kami imbau kepada para tokoh masyarakat terutama orang tua, agar mengawasi anak-anaknya saat bermain layang-layang dan melarang anak-anak memainkan permainan tersebut di jalan raya, karena selain dapat membahayakan dirinya sendiri juga bisa mencelakai pengguna jalan raya,” ungkap Kabid Humas.
Selain itu, lanjut Kombes Pol. Artanto, seringkali terjadi kecelakaan lalulintas (lakalantas) yang disebabkan oleh permainan layang-layang tersebut. Dimana terkadang pengguna jalan raya menabrak anak-anak yang mengejar layangan putus, juga sering terjadi pengguna jalan raya terutama pengendara sepeda motor, tersayat oleh tali atau senar layang-layang yang membentang di tengah jalan.
“Itu sangat berbahaya sekali dan kalau sampai tali layangan itu nyangkut di leher, kita dapat membayangkan bahwa leher akan tersayat atau tergorok karenanya. Jangankan badan kita atau leher kita, bodi sepeda motor yang terbuat dari plastik pun bisa tersayat oleh senar layang-layang, karena biasanya senar itu sudah dibaluri gelasan sehingga tajam,” katanya.
Dikatakan, dalam catatan Kepolisian beberapa kasus lakalantas yang diakibatkan tali layang-layang, bahkan ada yang sampai menelan korban meninggal dunia. Untuk itu pihaknya mengimbau kepada semua pihak baik unsur pemerintah, tokoh agama dan masyarakat (togama) serta tokoh pemuda, agar dapat memberikan sosialisasi dan pemahaman terkait hal tersebut.
“Bermain layang-layang tidak dilarang, tapi khususnya para orang tua agar memberikan arahan kepada anak-anaknya, untuk bermain layang-layang di tempat atau lokasi yang tidak mengganggu atau berbahaya serta membahayakan,” tandas Kombes Pol. Artanto.
“Sekali lagi, mari bijak dalam menyikapi, karena hal itu dapat mengganggu keamanan dan ketertiban masyarakat (kamtibmas),” tutupnya. (*)
